Outdoor First Aid Courses Training Methodology.
At Adventure First Aid we are constantly reviewing and updating the techniques we use to enable you retain information.
Our sessions run on simple experiential learning principles:
I hear once, I forget; I see, I remember; I do, I understand; I review, I retain.
Our sessions all run to the same pattern. Firstly, information will be given, followed by a demonstration of technique in isolation. Course members will then have an opportunity to practise techniques in isolation, and clarify understanding. We then place simple techniques into the context of a scenario, and review the outcomes. Most sessions are two hours in length, which provides delegates with plenty of opportunity to get 'hands on' practical experience.
People need to ask questions to learn. We will ALWAYS answer your questions. We encourage delegates to write down questions as they think of them, and at the end of each session ask them, if they have not already been answered.
